SERIOUS EPIDEMIC
INFLUENZA IN EUROPE BRITISH WAR PRODUCTION AFFECTED. MEASURES OF MUTUAL HELP. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright! LONDON, December 13. Influenza is seriously affecting war production, and the Minister of Health has called for total mobilisation to fight the epidemic, says the* “Daily Mail.” A circular calling for full use of the borough and rural resources has been circulated throughout Britain, and it suggests the formation of mutual help squads ready io nurse or shop for patients. Some centres have called on the Red Cross workers and women’s organisations to provide nurses for homes where all the inmates are ill.
Influenza is also reported to be widespread in France, Belgium, and northern Italy.
