It was decided to make a donation of £l5O to the 1944 Patriotic Appeal. A rebate of £4 for each team on its uniform account was granted to the various sponsoring firms. It was decided to hold an Interhouse picnic early in February. The picnic will be run on a community basis and a strong sub-committee was formed to complete matters Matters were discussed in connection with organising a drum and fife band by the association: It was decided to go further into the proposal with a view to seeing what could be done.. It was reported that the association had had an offer of sponsoring the well known “trooping of the colours” and it is quite possible that this will be presented during Easter. The pageant will take a considerable amount of organising and if it eventuates all local brganisations will be asked to assist. The hospitality of Mr and Mrs G. Daubney in providing supper was, greatly appreciated. The outstanding work of the secretary, Mr V. G. Davis, and the chairman of the executive, Mr Daubney and members of the committee was referred to.

At a meeting of the Interhouse girls' committee last night matters relating to the gala and future activities were discussed. A full meeting of all interhouse girls will be held in the room above Mr C. Spiers’s library in Church Street on Tuesday night when matters of vital importance will be discussed.
