CRIPPLED CHILDREN
MEETING OF WAIRARAPA SOCIETY.
WELFARE COMMITTEES PROPOSED.
A meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa Crippled Children’s Society was held yesterday, the chairman, Mr E. M’. Hodder, presiding.
Several donations were acknowledged with thanks from Junior Red Cross Circles in the district. Fifteen new members were elected.
It was decided to procure two pairs of special boots for a crippled child and to arrange for Christmas gifts for children on the society’s books. Some consideration was given to the question of setting up welfare committees in each town in the Wairarapa. The matter was deferred for further discussion at the next
The Welfare Officer (Mrs Kilgour) reported on having made her quarterly interviews with all crippled children and on the operations of the travelling clinic which visited the Wairarapa recently. , The next meeting was fixed for February 14.
