LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO FINE. SCATTERED MORNING MIST. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate to fresh north-easterly to northerly winds. Some scattered morning mist or drizzle but weather otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures moderate to mild. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. The Waingawa Sub-station, P.W.D., reports as‘follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Shade temperature, maximum, 74; minimum, 55; terrestrial, 53; sunshine, 8 hours 24 minutes. The Waingawa Sub-station reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum, 72; minimum, 57; terrestrial, 52. PHASES OF THE MOON. DECEMBER. Full moon, December 12. Last quarter, December 20. New moon, December 27.
