College Facilities.
Speaking at the Wairarapa College break-up ceremony last night, Mr H. F. O’Leary, K.C., said he was amazed at the wonderful facilities at the College and was impressed by the splendid buildings it possessed. Swimming Demonstration. The Masterton Swimming Club will hold a learn to swim demonstration in the Dixon Street baths tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. A squad from Wellington will give a demonstration. The public is invited to attend. A local class of about 30 school children will receive their first lessons. Power to be Cut Off. In order to allow urgent repair and maintenance work to be carried out the Wairarapa Powei’ Board will cut off power tomorrow from 1.30 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. in the Carterton borough, at Dalefield, Belvedere, Carrington, Chester Road and the main road from Cartefton to the Waingawa sub-station.
