CHRISTMAS CHEER
■ VISIT TO BUCHANAN HOME, WOMEN’S NATIONAL WELFARE LEAGUE. Members of the Masterton; Women’s National Welfare League paid their annual visit to the Buchanan Home, Greytown, on Thursday afternoon. An enjoyable time was spent with those who have reached the evening of their life. All joined in the singing of Christmas carols. The entertainers were Mrs H. M. Morton (pianiste), Mr Harry Hall (humourous songs), Miss D. Jamieson (solos), and Mrs Robert . Miller (recitations). Afternoon tea, flowers and sweets were distributed among the fifty inmates. In the absence of Matron Higginson, a posy was presented to Sister’ Hughes. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by members of the staff.
