INFLUENZA IN BRITAIN
WIDESPREAD EPIDEMIC
KING MAKING GOOD PROGRESS. LAW COURT STAFFS HEAVILY DEPLETED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, December 9. The King, who has been suffering from influenza, is continuing to make good progress. The Duchess of Kent is another victim of influenza, and has cancelled engagements. Her illness is taking a normal course. The work of the Law Courts has been brought almost to a standstill by influenza. Only one of nine civil courts in the King's Bench Division was able to open yesterday.
