SCOTTISH PIGEON VISITS HOLLAND Recently, a pigeon fancier in Scotland released four pigeons to participate in a race to London. Three only returned to the owner, Mr J. Thorpe. The fourth was given up as lost. Later, however, the pigeon returned bearing a message in a tube attached to its foot. The message was from & Dutchman in Holland and revealed that, the pigeon had landed in his empty pigeon loft, his own pigeons having been slaughtered by order of the Nazis some time ago. In addition to this the note contained a message which was jUntranslateable. Mr Thorpe assumed that it was coded information foi the Netherlands Government and passed it on to the suitable authorities. Apparently the message was, indeed, coded and contained information of vital importance.
