THE 75 MILLIMETRE GUN (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, December 8. “We have put wings on one of our greatest field artillery pieces,” said Major-General I. H. Campbell, Chief-of Ordnance of the United States Army, addressing the second war congress of the National Association of Manufacturers. General Campbell was referring to the use by the United States Army Air Force of the 75 millimetre gun on aircraft. He added: “There is one phenomenal thing in this war few people pause to consider. At no time in battle have our forces been without adequate support and supplies of armament.”
