CROQUET CLUB ENJOYABLE GATHERING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The first of a series of hon. members’ gatherings took place at the lawns on Saturday afternoon, when there was a good attendance of both honorary and active members. Several competitions were held, all present competing. Mrs Hart (president) welcomed the new members, and at the conclusion of the competitions presented the trophies to the following ladies:—Mesdames Daniel and Mutter (hoop and peg), Mrs Dickson (peg), Mesdames M. Herbert and H. W. Gallagher (angles), Mrs Reardon (bell croquet), Mrs Cittadine (ladder). Mrs Gray (golf croquet). Ideal weather, the lawns in excellent order, and a dainty afternoon tea helped to make the afternoon successful and enjoyable. It is intended to hold these gatherings once a month.
