RIFLE SHOOTING
MASTERTON-OPAKI CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION. EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE BY RIFLEMAN BOUZAID. The Masterton-Opaki Rifle Club held the first half of their championship competition at the weekend on the Fairview range. The weather conditions were fairly good with the exception that at times the wind changed so quickly as to cause even the more experienced shooters to ge.t magpies only. The best score was made by Rifleman J. Bouzaid who registered 233 points off the rifle out of a possible of 250, his 49 at 600 yards being a brilliant effort. C. M. Pickering and E. M.
