GREYTOWN
CHRISTMAS TRADE INCREASE ANTICIPATED. (“Times-Age” Special.) Preparations arc already being made by local tradesmen for the Christmas trade, which is expected to show a substantial increase on last year. Despite export restrictions and other difficulties in obtaining supplies it is anticipated that a much better and varied quantity of goods will be available for customers. Following the policy of the past local shopkeepers are stocking only the best class of goods at the cheapest prices, and are thus able to successfully compete with much bigger centres. There is no need for local residents to trade in other towns when there is at their own door the highest quality goods obtainable at reasonable prices, with values often lower than in other localities. Personal Items. Sisters Hughes, Montgomerie. Curtis and E. Roys are visiting Pahiatua for the Wooderson —Bairstow wedding, TOWN HALL “MY GAL SAL.” A brilliant musical comedy, “My Gal Sal,” will be shown tonight with Rita Hayworth and Victor Mature in the principal roles.
