FEATHERSTON

FELLOWSHIP OF YOUTH GATHERING AT KAHUTARA A social gathering was held in the Kahutara Hall on Wednesday night by the Kahutara Fellowship of Youth. The time was spent in singing and dancing and a number of musical items were much appreciated. Songs were rendered by Misses Tamplin and Hewison, and the Rev J. R. Higgs and a recitation given by Mr Scadden. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mr Cotter and Miss Scaddon. Music for the dancing was supplied by Messrs, Ruka and Frew, Mr Scaddon playing mouth organ and accordion extras. Personal Mrs McNabb and Miss Hewison have returned- to Tokomaru after having been the guests of Mrs Hewison, Kahu-1 tara. Rainfall Record During November 2.13 inches of rain were recorded in Featherston. Rain fell on six days, the heaviest fall being 39 points. In November 1942 the rainfall was 4.40 inches. COSY THEATRE DOUBLE FEATURE PROGRAMME. Tonight there will be a double feature programme at the Cosy Theatre. In the thrilling drama, “Secret Agent of Japan,” the chief roles are .taken by Preston Foster and Lynn Bari. The Andrew Sisters are seen in a bright musical comedy, “Give Out Sisters.”
