RURAL LAND SALES

SITTING OF COMMITTEE 40 APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH At a sitting this week in Wellington of the Wellington Rural Land Sales Committee, 40 applications for consent of sales were dealt with. The chairman, Mr T. Jordan, Mayor of Masterton, presided and there were also present Messrs G. A. Hansen and T. G. Vincent, members of the committee. With the exception of four applications, regarding which the committee required fresh valuations to be obtained, consent was given to sales in all the other transactions, without calling Upon the parties. Among the applications approved was the first one received by the committee in respect of farm lands. These were in the Feilding district. Approval was-given after the committee had heard the valuer who had inspected the properties. Wairarapa applications approved included those in respect to two sections at Martinborough, a cottage at Castlepoint and two houses in Masterton. One application regarding a house property in Masterton was adjourned for a fresh valuation.
