BUT JAPAN DEPENDING ON OWN EFFORTS ACCORDING TO OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 30. A Japanese Information Board spokesman, in a domestic broadcast quoted by the Tokio radio, said Germany was still very powerful and holding the enemy’s counter-offensives, but added: —“As we view the general scope of the world war situation, we feel that we must win by our own efforts. Naturally we should not be dependent upon others in prosecuting this war.”
