The Free Kindergarten will hold a shop day in the premises recently occupied in Queen Street, Masterton, by Mr W. H. Saunders, on Friday; December 3. There will be Christmas cakes, Christmas puddings, children’s garments, jam, fruit, cakes, vegetables, etc., on sale. The pupils of St. Bride’s Convent intend to put before the public a musical treat, in an operetta which they -will stage in St. Patrick’s assembly hall on -Tuesday, December 14. There will be a bright entertainment of song and story amid gay oriental scenery, love, intrigue and a happy ending to a clever plot.
