. The Borough Sanitary Inspector, Ml T. A. Russell reports that two cases of 'notifiable infectious diseases occurred in Masterton last month. Both were cases of cerebro spinal meningitis. Thomas, stated last night that, owing to the continued shortage of pig meats required to meet essential demands, the period of prohibition on the sale of pork by way of retail had been extended from November 30, 1943, to March 31. 1944.
