STREET DAY APPEAL TOMORROW EXTENSION OF ACTIVITIES IN VIEW PERMANENT YOUTH CAMP PROPOSED A street day appeal will be made in Masterton tomorrow by the Y.M.C.A. The ladies' auxiliary will be in charge of the arrangements. The appeal is being made as part of a campaign to raise £l5OO in furtherance of the Y.M.C.A.’s programme. This includes the carrying out of its normal activities, the development and extension of work among the youth of Masterton and district; the replacement of damaged equipment owing to war use; renovation of the buildings; necessary improvements to sports equipment in the gymnasium; an extension of the gymnasium to provide a larger hall for recreation, a very pressing need, and the establishment of a permanent youth camp in the district.
