OBITUARY MR WILLIAM WALKER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr William Walker, of Kaiwaiwai, at the age of 63 years. The late Mr Walker came to New Zealand from Australia about three years ago and took up farming at Kaiwaiwai. He is survived by a widow, three sons ana two daughters. The funeral took place at Masterton this afternoon. RED CROSS SOCIETY EUCHRE PARTY YESTERDAY The final afternoon'euchre party in connection with the Red Cross Society was held yesterday when there was a good attendance. Mrs Watson was the card winner and Mrs Viles won a competition held. Donations were received from Mesdames Sim and McKenna. bowling club COMPETITION RESULTS The following are additional results in connection with the Featherston Bowling Club’s competitions:— Handicap singles: A. S. Kilsby beat W. Higgison, A. Chaston beat W. Johnson. Bidwill Badges: L. James. W. Rowles, G. O’Neale, H. Rolls (challengers) beat J. Moriarity, W. Higgison, J. Thompson and N. Batchelor (holders). COSY THEATRE “MRS WIGGS OF THE CABBAGE PATCH.” Tomorrow night there will be shown the outstanding comedy-drama, “Mrs Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch,” in which the principal roles are portrayed by Fay Bainter and Hugh Herbert.
