APPOINTMENT OF PERMANENT MINISTER The Rev A. L. Silcock, at present minister of the Timaru Baptist Church, has been selected as the permanent minister of the Masterton Baptist Church. Mr Silcock has done splendid work in his previous charges—Owaka, Island Bay and Timaru —and is a vigorous and forceful type of speaker. He takes up his work at Masterton at the request of the Baptist Church Extension Committee and his initial appoint? ment for a term of three years commences on March 1 next. ,
