LARGE TANKER
TORPEDOED OFF DUTCH COAST ESCORT VESSEL SET ON FIRE. FOUR BEAUFIGHTERS LOST. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) RUGBY, November 24. The Air Ministry announced that Coastal Command Beaufighters, escorted by Spitfires, attacked a convoy off the Dutch coast yesterday afternoon. A large tanker was torpedoed and left down by the stern. Two escort vessels were set on fire and three others were seriously damaged. Four Beaufighters are missing.
