WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

KAITUNA-FERNRIDGE. PARCELS FOR SOLDIERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kai-tuna-Fernridge Women’s Institute was held at the home of Mrs J. Shaw, Mrs Keir presiding over a good attendance of members. A trophy presented by Mrs P. RWelch to be held for the year by the member- winning the points prize in the flower competition, was presented to Mrs D. J. Cooper. Three parcels were packed for soldiers overseas and three more are to be packed next month. The flower competition was won by Mrs J. Shaw, with Mrs Keir Senr. and Mrs Alan Keir, equal, second. Afternoon tea served by the hostess brought an enjoyable gathering to a close.
