Y.M.C.A. FINANCE CAMPAIGN
PROPOSED STREET DAY APPEAL EXTENSION OF YOUTH WORK An impetus was given to the arrangements for the Masterton Y.M.C.A. finance campaign from December 1 to December 7, when a meeting of the campaign committee was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms, Masterton. yesterday afternoon. The president, Mr J. A. Kennedy, presided. Messrs E. M. Hodder and C. Sutherland were detailed to prepare a list of prospective donors from which the five working teams would be given their lists at a meeting to be held in the •Y.M.C.A. at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday. It was stated that the Ladies’ Auxiliary would hold a street day appeal. The committee agreed that the appeal should be as short as possible. The need of the funds for enlarging the gymnasium and enabling the Y.M.C.A. to take a greater share of youth training, was stressed. It was decided to send out circular letters to residents in which the importance of the campaign would be stated.
