She was born in England in 1873, and had resided, in Wellington for a number of year, prior to taking up residence in Masterton some years ago. For the past two months Mrs Brickell had been in ill health. The funeral took place in Masterton this afternoon. The funeral of the late Mrs Mary McKenzie took place in Masterton yesterday afternoon. The services at the residence and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. D. Storkey. There was a large and representative attendance of mourners. The beautiful array of floral tributes was evidence of the esteem in which the late Mrs McKenzie was held. Among others wreaths were sent by the National Women’s Welfare League, the committee of the Masterton Plunket Society and Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd. The pall-bearers were Messrs A. H. Daniell. E. G. Shaw, R. Shaw, C. Mips and G. D. Wilson.
