FEATHERSTON
MINIATURE RIFLES SEASON CLOSED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Featherston Miniature Rifle Club closed their activities for the season on Monday night when the various, cups and trophies won during the year were presented and several toasts honoured. The competitions were won as follow:—Club- championship, A grade (Nix Cup): D. Flynn, 889 ( 1; L. Rasmussen, 885, 2; Mrs Thurston, 847, 3. B grade (Moriarity Cup): K. Feast, 845, 1; R. Johnson, 815, 2; Mrs F. Clark, 779, 3. Ladies' championship (Miss Card’s trophy): Mrs Thurston, 847, 1. Viles Cup (A grade handicap): D. Flynn, 889. Yule Cup (B grade): K. Feast, 871. Whitcombe and. Caldwell Cup: L. Rasmussen, 1467. Austin Cup: D. Flynn, 897. Watson Cup (first year competitors): Mrs F. Clark, 787. M. Hodder trophy (B grade): K. Feast, 470. An enjoyable time was spent when the Service Club held a euchre party on Tuesday night. There was a good attendance, Mrs Worsely was the winner at cards, Mr McGuinness being second. ’Mr M. B. Tait won a competition held. COSY THEATRE “I LIVE ON DANGER.” Tomorrow night there will be shown the sensational drama, “I Live on Danger,” which is a fast-moving story. The principal parts are taken by Chester Morris and Jean Parker. The associate feature is the mystery drama, “Bombay Clipper,” in which the chief roles are in the hands of William Gar* gan and Irene Hervey.
