ST. MATTHEW’S SCHOOL MANY VISITORS PRESENT HIGH STANDARD SET Visitors from all parts of the Wairarapa and from Wellington, Palmerston North and Hawke’s Bay were present at the annual sports of St Matthew’s Collegiate School for girls held at the College yesterday afternoon. A high standard was set in all events and many thrilling finishes were witnessed. The weather was disappointing but failed to dampen the ardour of the competitors. Messrs E. W. Payton, C. J. Bennett, H. P. Hugo, H. M. Boddington and S. Smith were the judges. The arrangements were in the hands of Miss Lloyd, games mistress, assisted by members of the staff.
