WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT HASTWELL.
WINNERS OF COMPETITIONS.
(“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Hastwell Women’s Institute was held on Wednesday when Mrs K. Ngatuere presided over a fair attendance of members.
Miss Olga Halberg gave an excellent report of the meeting held at Woodville.
The roll call given by Mrs E. G. Sigvertsen was: “What you would like to do if called up for war work,” and brought forth a ready response. The motto was given by Mrs C. Seymour.
The competitions resulted as follows: —Flower: Mrs E. G. Sigvertsen, 1; Mrs Seymour, 2; Miss O. Halberg, 3. Best scrapbook, seniors: Mrs J. Dick, 1; Miss O. Halberg, 2; Mrs Seymour, 3. Juniors: Miss E. Larsen, 1; Miss E. Dick, 2.
The parcel fund was won by Mrs K. Ngatuere. * ) Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs J. Dick and Miss E. Dick.
