MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS
(“Times-Age” Special.)
The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held in the local hall yesterday, when Mrs W. J. Cottle presided over a good attendance of members.
The roll call was “Id for the A.C.W.W.”
A well filled bring and buy stall of Christmas novelties and produce did brisk business.
Mrs C. C. Jackson gave an interesting twenty minutes talk on Lord Tennyson, reading extracts from his poems. On the motion of Mrs Cottle she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Hansen and Taplin. The competitions resulted as follows: —Best bloom: Mrs Miller, 1; Mrs Hansen, 2; Miss Murphy, 3. Christmas novelty: Mrs Hansen, 1; Mrs Reside, 2; Miss Murphy, 3.
