FEATHERSTON COUNTY

COUNCIL MEETING DAMAGE TO DISTRICT ROADS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Featherston County Council was held at Martinborough yesterday, Mr A. S. Martin being in the chair. A Kiot’ion of sympathy was passed with Mr Martin in a family bereavement. The Pihautea hall committee requested that concrete work be carried out outside the hall. The matter was left to the engineer. It was decided to pay the Borough Council half the cost of repairing the pound. The Main Highways Board wrote asking for a report on damage to roads due to military traffic.
