ELECTED UPPER HOUSE
PROPOSED IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, November 11. A Bill providing for the replacement of the present State Legislative Council by an elected House has been introduced in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. Moving, the first reading of the Bill, the Premier, Mr McKell, said that the Labour Party intended eventually to abolish the Legislative Council. The Government would submit its proposal to the people at a referendum.
