FEATHERSTON

RED CROSS SOCIETY SUCCESSFUL CARD PARTY (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the Red Cross Society’s Rooms on Monday when a most successful card party was held. FELLOWSHIP OF YOUTH SOCIAL GATHERING A happy time was spent in the Parish Hall last evening when the Fellowship of Youth entertained the Presbyterian Bible Class at a social gathering. A welcome to the visitors was given by the Vicar. The Rev H. Bloomfield, in returning thanks, told several amusing stories. The time was spent in dancing and competitive games. A pianoforte solo was given by Miss Muriel Saunders and songs were sung by Miss Tampleton and a singing class. All the items were much enjoyed. Miss C. Saba played the music for the dancing. Personal Mrs H. Bloomfield is visiting Dunedin. COSY THEATRE “THE GOOD EARTH.” Paul Muni and Luise Rainer will portray the chief characters in the excellent drama, “The Good Earth,’ which will be shown tomorrow night at the Cosy Theatre.
