BAPTIST CHURCH

MR D. EDWARDS WELCOMED,

AT SOCIAL GATHERING.

At a social gathering on Saturday night in Masterton, Mr David Edwards, of the Baptist College, Auckland, was extended a cordial welcome by members of the Masterton Baptist Church. Mr W. Teeboon, secretary of the church, said all were glad to have Mr Edwards back. It was unusual, he said, for a student to be consecutively stationed in one place. However, the people had specially asked for Mr Edwards again. Mr W. Carey (Wellington), secretary of the Central Auxiliary of the Baptist Church, was also present and briefly scoke.

Mr Edwards suitably replied. Supper served by the ladies brought a happy gathering to a close.
