ST. ANDREW’S GUILD

SUCCESSFUL CALEDONIAN FAIR.

(“Times-Age” Special.) The St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Guild held a very successful Caledonian Fair in the State Theatre, Carterton, yesterday. The ladies worked energetically to fill the stalls which comprised work, novelty, cake, produce, flower, book, White Elephant and West Taratahi, and at the end of the day very little was left unsold. The luncheon and afternoon teas were well patronised. The approximate takings at the fair totalled £lBO. This was augmented by a cheque from the Gladstone and Longbush church members which brought the amount up to £3OO. The money will go toward the manse rebuilding fund.
