GRINDING OF SERPENTINE

COARSE MATERIAL ESCAPING SCREENS PROCEDURE FOR REMEDIAL ACTION The Masterton A. and P. Association has been advised by the acting-Direc-tor-General of the Department of Agriculture (Mr R. B. Tennent) that standards had been laid down for the grinding of serpentine rock for serpentine super. However, great difficulty was being experienced by the manufacturers in preventing coarse material escaping the screens on account of a scarcity of screening wire. In cases where coarse material was received farmers should send to him a small sample, stating the quantity received, date of receipt and the name of the manufacturing firm.. Remedial action could then be taken. .
