NEW PARTY
TO EMBODY NON-LABOUR GROUPS DISCUSSED AT CONFERENCE IN SYDNEY (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day. 11.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The formation of a new political party to replace the United Australia Party, the Liberal Democratic Party and the Commonwealth Party, the three main non-Labour groups in New South Wales, is ..likely to result from a conference here. Delegates from ’ the Country Party attended, but withdrew. It was stated that they would wait for the final decisions of the conference and then determine whether there was a basis for co-operation. Further meetings will be held next week.
