RASH ASSERTION
MADE BY JAPANESE AMBASSADOR ALLIED LANDING IMPOSSIBLE. ON FRENCH CHANNEL COAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 4. The Tokio radio stated that the Japanese Ambassador to Berlin, Lieuten-ant-General Oshima, returning to Berlin after a ten day inspection of the German defences on the French Channel coast, said he found the defences truly reassuring, and believed an Allied landing entirely impossible.
