METHODIST CHURCH

LADIES' GUILD. final meeting of year. The final meeting for the year of the Masterton Methodist Ladies’ Guild was held in the schoolroom when Mrs Goodman presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Lindsay, Speight, White, Hendry, Daysh, Daniell, Lyttle and Miss Ninnes. The happy thought was given by Mrs Shoosmith. As a token of love and goodwill from the Guild members, floral posies, made by Miss Jackson, were sent to a number of members who have been unable to attend meetings. Members were asked to support the effort of the Missionary Auxiliary to raise funds for the Rehabilitation Fund of the Solomon Islands Missions. An interesting and varied propgramme was supplied by the members. Afternoon tea was served by the tea hostesses, Mrs Madsen and Miss Jacksen. \otes of thanks were passed to all the ladies who had helped during the meeting.
