SOLWAY RAINFALL
FIGURES FOR OCTOBER Mr H. M. Boddington, reports that rain was measured at Solway on 19 days in October. The maximum fall was 1.45 inches and the minimum 1 point on the llth. The total for the month is 4.67 inches as against' 2.20 (1942), 3.98 '(1941), 3.65 (1940), 1.35 (1939), 1.45 (1938). The average for 40 years is 3.45 inches. The total rainfall for the past ten month, 37.38 inches, as compared with 37.60 (1942), 39.73 (1941), 30.54 (1940), 25.46 (1939), 39.44 (1938). The average for 40 years is 33.82 inches.
