RESULTS AT MOSCOW
MUCH GREATER THAN REVEALED MANY DETAILS OF NECESSITY HELD SECRET.’ APPROVING PRESS COMMENTS IN BRITAjIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.47 a.m.) RUGBY, November 2. Although the published documents do not cover nearly the whole field of the Moscow Conference, the British Press recognises that its achievements were very much greater than th,e three Allied Governments had hoped and the German Government had feared. Not only are the military aspects not revealed, but important aspects of political strategy, closely interwoven with military plans, also necessarily remain hidden until they are revealed by events. Many tributes have been paid to Mr Eden, who never lost faith in the practicability of a realistic understanding between governments with different' ideologies, so long as they pursued the same fundamental world policy, nor is there lack of appreciation of the goodwill which inspired the Soviet Government to agree to closer relations with its Western Allies.
