FEATHERSTON
PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE SUCCESSFUL DANCE (“Times-Age” Special.) The Junior Patriotic Committee held a very successful dance in the Town Hall on Saturday night, there being a very large attendance. The music was supplied by Mrs V. J. Ashton’s orchestra, and extras were played by Misses G. Fraser and M. Tocker. The M.C. was Mr V. J. Ashton. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs P. Habib and partner. The tables were artistically decorated by Mrs Alexander. Personal Items Miss Bloxam arrived home yesterday from Dunedin and will spend the summer holidays in Featherston. • Miss Ivy Wilton, Dunedin, is home for the summer vacation. A happy time was spent at a party held in the Parish Hall on Saturday night to celebrate the coming of age of Miss Clare Hodder. Mr P. Smith presented Miss Hodder with a gold key and extended to her the good wishes of her numerous friends. Miss Hodder suitably replied. COSY THEATRE NEW PROGRAMME ON WEDNESDAY. There will be a new programme presented on Wednesday night.
