TWO SHOT DOWN INTO CHANNEL DURING SCATTERED RAIDS ON BRITAIN SUCCESSES OF MOSQUITO INTERCEPTORS (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) RUGBY, October 31. Early last night a small number of enemy aircraft crossed the south-east coast of England. A few raiders reached the London area. Bombs were dropped at scattered points, causing slight damage and a small number of casualties. Mosquitos 1 shot down into the Channel two of the raiders. This success adds to the already considerable score of victories Mosquito interceptor night fighters have achieved in recent months. The Mosquitos’ victims have included some of Germany’s faster fighter-bombers and medium bombers.
