WEATHER OUTLOOK
LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS. SOME IMPROVEMENT LIKELY. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Fresh to strong southerly wind, decreasing tomorrow and becoming variable. Weather cloudy with a few scattered showers. Temperatures cool. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fresh north-westerly winds. Weather temporarily fair and milder. The Waingawa sub-station, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—-Shade temperature, maximum Gl, minimum 47; terrestrial, 45; sunshine, 1 hour 54 minutes; rain, 5 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 19 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday and 9 points during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
