WOMEN’S AUXILIARY MEETING. AN INTERESTING ADDRESS. The monthly meeting of the Methodist Women's Missionary Auxiliary was held yesterday, Mrs G. H. Goodman presiding over a good attendance of mmbers. The opening exercises were conducted by the Rev. G. H. Goodman, who later addressed the gathering. His subject, “The Responsibility of the Methodist Church to the Maori,” traced from its beginning until the present day the work on the Maori Mission. Field. The great need today, he said, is for home training schools for Maori girls. Small beginnings have been made, which are to be extended in the near future. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Goodman for his very instructive address. Arrangements were made for the sale for the Solomon Island Rehabilitation Fund, to be held on December 7 in the Sunday School Hall. The stall holders are as follow: —Children's work, Mrs Grantham and Miss Jackson; ladies’ work. Mesdames Daysh, Scrivener and Scrimgeour; produce and flowers, Mrs Andrew. Miss Beale and flower girls; paper work, Miss Prentice and Mrs Vennell; cake. Girls' Life Brigade committee: buffet supper, Mesdames Goodman. Speight and Hansen. A satisfactory sum was received in connection with members' boxes.

• It was reported that the Revs. Goldie and Voyce had returned to their mission work.
