Czechoslovakian Anniversary.
Flags are being flown on public buildings in Masterton today to mark the anniversary of the declaration of the independence of Czechoslovakia. Air Training Corps’ Dance. The Air Training Corps will hold a dance in the Masonic Hall tonight. The M.C. will be Mr W. Nicol and Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra of four players will supply the music. Art Union Prizes. In connection with the “Money Talks” art union, £lO prizes were won by the following Wairarapa investors: —E. A. Westlake (Masterton), C. J. Sutherland (Newman), A. Hale (Masterton), and “My Turn Out” (Masterton). Five pounds prizes were won by “Dily” (Featherston) and “Ineeda” (Carterton). Schedule Prices for Fat Stock. At a meeting of the New Zealand Meat Producers Board, further consideration was given to the question of the opening schedule prices for fat stock for the forthcoming season. During the day, two important conferences were held with representatives of the Government, and the matter is now being further- considered by a special committee of the Board.
