SERVICE CLUB ENJOYABLE CARD PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at the euchre party held at the Service Club on Tuesday night. The card winners were Mr Cheer and Mrs Elder. A competition held was won by Mr D. Holland. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs C. E. Sole, New Plymouth, are the guests of Mr and Mrs J. Thompson for the Sole—Thompson wedding, which will take place tomorrow. The Returning Officer and Registrar of Electors, Mr J. W. Holland, has completed his work and has now returned to his duties as postmaster. Mr Lyell, who has been acting as postmaster, has proceeded to Martinborough, where he will carry out relieving duties. Miss Bett5 r Bimler, who is an inmate of the Masterton Hospital, is reported to be making satisfactory progress towards recovery. The New Ration Book. The issuing of the new ration book has made heavy demands on the staff at the Post Office. The public are requested to call for their books as soon as possible, and so avoid the usual rush at the end of the month. COSY THEATRE DOUBLE FEATURE EILL. Tomorrow night’s programme will include two excellent pictures. “Among the Living” is a sensational drama featuring Albert Dekker and Susan Hayward. “Riding the Wind” is an excellent western drama in which the chief role is taken by Tim Holt,
