SOME JAPANESE AIRFIELDS IN SOLOMONS. MORE COUNTER-ATTACKS REPELLED IN NEW GUINEA. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright LONDON, October 26. As a result of Allied bombing attacks, a number of Japanese airfields on Bougainville Island and elsewhere in the Solomons are out of action. Allied aircraft continue their raids over wide areas. North of Finschhafen, in New Guinea, Australian troops have again beaten back Japanese counter-attacks.
