SHORTLY-TO BE EQUIPPED AS TRANSPORT.( SALVAGE WORK COMPLETED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, October 25. Salvage work on the Normandie has been completed, and the ship will be handed over to the navy tomorrow, but her refitting as a transport will not begin for several weeks. The salvage cost 4,500,000 dollars. The total cost of remodelling is estimated at 20,000,000 dollars, excluding an undetermined sum payable to the French Government.
