F'OR SHOOTING DOWN SWEDISH TRANSPORT PLANE. “DONE BY A MISTAKE.” (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, October 26. The Swedish Press agency says that the German military attache in Stockholm has expressed the German Air Force’s deepest regret for the shooting down of the Swedish transport plane. It was done by mistake. The “Afton Dagbladet” says that a British civil plane which flew to Sweden on Friday night was also attacked and arrived at Stockholm on Saturday with a bullet-riddled tail. Thirteen persons were killed when a Swedish transport plane, en route to Stockholm, crashed in flames on the west coast of Sweden, on the night of October 22, after being attacked by a German fighter.
