MAURICEVILLE
ANNUAL MEETING SOLDIERS’ ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mauriceville East Soldiers’ Entertainment Committee held its annual meeting in the East Hall recently when Mr E. W. Cheetham presided. The financial statement as presented by the executive was adopted. The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Chairman, Mr E. W. Cheetham; secretary, Mr J. A. Baine; committee, those present were elected with their respective wives, with power to add. The chairman, the secretary, and Mr J. W. Milner were appointed to the executive to represent the Mauriceville East Committee. It was decided that the secretary call a meeting of ladies at an early date, when the appointment of a convenor to the ladies’ sub-committee will be made. Dance Tonight A dance will be held in the Mauriceville West Hall tonight by the Mauriceville West Committee, in honour of Pte. P. Foster and S/Sgt. D. Cameron.
