OBITUARY

MR T. GADSBY The death occurred today of Mr Thomas Gadsby, a well known and highly respected resident of Masterton. Mr Gadsby was born at Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, 77 years ago. He came to New Zealand and settled in Taranaki. He arrived in Wairarapa 45 years ago and followed the occupation of road contractor for many years. He went to Ohura, King Country, 12 years ago and engaged in farming pursuits until recently. He had been in indifferent health for the past year. He is survived by his widow, five daughters (Mesdames B. T. Hume. Wellington, J. D. Baldwin, Christchurch, E. J. Tresidder, Blenheim, and Misses I. E. and M. M. Gadsby, Masterton, and three sons—Messrs T. H„ Matiere, J. B. and D. G. Gadsby, Ohura). The funeral will leave St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday afternoon, following a service at 2 o’clock, for the Masterton cemetery.
